Properly aligned teeth contribute to maintaining healthy gums, and can help prevent more serious health problems from arising. Misaligned teeth can lead to stress on the jaw muscles and excessive wear of the enamel, negatively affecting the long-term health of the teeth and their supporting bone structure. Crowded or gapped teeth can be difficult to care for and can lead to periodontal disease with associated gum and bone loss and in some cases, the possible loss of one or more teeth.
How Do Mtm® Clear Aligners Work?
Dr. Herzog utilizes the MTM clear aligner system for straightening patients’ teeth. MTM® (minor tooth movement) Clear Aligner is the virtually undetectable way to align your smile without traditional braces. MTM® Clear Aligner uses clear, removable aligners to correct slight misalignments (such as crowding or gaps). Each custom fit aligner is fabricated per Dr. Herzog’s treatment plan, to progressively advance your teeth into their ideal position, leaving you with a healthy and beautiful smile.
MTM® Clear Aligner is surprisingly affordable, achieving results at a fraction of the time and cost of many other aligner or bracket treatments, including clear braces and invisible braces. See if you are a “good fit” and then consult Dr. Herzog to get moving.
Are The Mtm® Aligners Comfortable?
MTM® Clear Aligners are custom-fitted to your individual needs. When you start treatment the aligners may feel foreign in your mouth but after a day or two, most of our patients hardly notice them.
How Long Do I Have To Wear The Aligners?
For the best results, we recommend that you wear the MTM clear aligners at all times except when you are eating, drinking hot liquids or brushing your teeth. We can correct your smile in as little as 3-6 months.
How Much Do Mtm® Clear Aligners Cost?
MTM® Clear Aligner typically costs a fraction of the cost of many other clear aligners, invisible braces, or traditional full-mouth wire braces treatments*.
And did you know that MTM® Clear Aligner is covered under most comprehensive dental/orthodontic insurance plans? Most dental plans will cover dental orthodontic procedures up to $1,500. Consider making a call to your insurance provider to see if you may be covered for MTM aligners.
“I was very self-conscious about it. Not just from the appearance but from the long term effect on my bottom teeth… I want to address that now. I don’t want to have to worry about that later.”
Jennifer wanted to fix the issues she was having with her teeth turning in without having to go through the lengthy process of getting traditional braces again. Every 3 weeks she changed out her aligners and she is very happy with the results she achieved with her MTM clear aligners.
Mtm® Clear Aligners Vs Invisalign
MTM clear aligners utilize a unique “open pathway” architecture that helps facilitate tooth movement. Additionally, integrated “force points” eliminate the need for bonded attachments, reducing chair time, improving aesthetics, and making it easy for patients to seat and remove their aligners.
One of the best benefits of MTM clear aligners, aside from the great results, is that unlike other aligners MTM clear aligners are priced on a flat fee basis. There is no limit to the number of aligners included in your initial treatment plan and one free refinement/course correction is included if needed. Therefore your cost is predictable.
How Long Does Treatment Take To Straighten Teeth?
Treatment can take as little as 3 to 6 months. The number of appointments needed during treatment is dictated by the number of aligners in the series. We recommend have a new aligner dispersed every 2-3 weeks.
